AprĂšs avoir dĂ©vorĂ©, en novembre 2011, vos Chroniques de JĂ©rusalem (comme un grand hasard, juste aprĂšs mon retour d’israel), puis dans la foulĂ©e vos Chroniques birmanes, j’ai ensuite littĂ©ralement dĂ©vorĂ© (encore une fois) Pyongyang et Shenzhen…
Je m’apprĂȘte Ă aller en Birmanie pour 2 semaines (dans 15 jours) et je dois dire que vos Chroniques birmanes ont largement influencĂ© mon choix đ
HĂąte d’y ĂȘtre, de dĂ©couvrir et de ressentir tout ça !
Je me suis d’ailleurs posĂ© la question, si je pouvais emporter avec moi vos Chroniques birmanes lĂ bas…
Si jamais j’en vois quelques exemplaire trĂŽner en tĂȘte de gondole je vous enverrai une petite photo đ -
“Burma Chronicles” is one of the best books I’ve ever read about Burma in years. (Yes, I’m a Burmese guy living in Rangoon.) But after reading this book in English, I found out that the Burmese translation is not accurate enough. It’s too polite in Burmese way and lost some of your humor.
Good news is that the government no longer blocks the road to Aung San Suu Kyi. Even the buses can run on this road now.
